We will source 50% of our polyester from recycled polyester or other more sustainable alternatives.

Within our 100% more sustainable cotton supply, 30% will be sourced from organic cotton.

Of our man-made cellulosic fibers will be sourced responsibly in line with industry best practice, such as the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).

All VILA neck labels will by November 2021 be made from recycled polyester and all VILA standard hangtags will be made from FSC Recycled paper. Hangtags specifically for our more sustainable styles will be made from sugar cane paper – a biodegradable by-product from the sugar industry free from bleach and dyes. And that’s not even all. The print used on each and every tag will be in soy ink. It’s our way of taking the right steps on our path to become even more sustainable. One tag at a time.

Choosing styles made from more sustainable man-made cellulosic fibers like LENZING™ ECOVERO ™ means choosing renewable energy production. It also means the process of chemicals recovery compared to generic viscose production.

If you buy styles made with organic cotton, you help improves soil health and protect biodiversity without pesticides.

If you buy recycled cotton styles which are made from manufacturing waste like leftover fabric scraps or from used cotton garments and textiles, you also contribute to reducing the waste of a natural resource like water.
